Craig Duswalt is a speaker, author, radio host and the creator of the "RockStar System For Success--How to Achieve RockStar Status in Your Industry."
Duswalt's background includes touring with Guns N' Roses, as Axl Rose's personal manager, and Air Supply, as the band's personal assistant. Craig is also an award-winning copywriter and worked as a creative director for a Los Angeles-based ad agency until he opened his own ad agency, Green Room Design & Advertising.
Duswalt combined his backgrounds in both music and marketing, and is now a professional speaker and author, promoting his "RockStar System for Success" all over the country, teaching entrepreneurs, speakers, authors, coaches and info-marketers how to promote themselves and their businesses.

Disappointing

If you are interested in reading about the logistics of a world tour of a major rock band, then this is the book for you. If you are interested in reading about the exploits and partying of Guns n Roses on a world tour, then this is not the book for you. I should have known that this book was going to be on the dull side when the author states at the beginning of the book that he is still good friends with the members of Guns n Roses and he will not be telling any stories that would embarrass or reveal any secrets of any member of the group. The book can basically be summarized as follows: take a private plane to a city, check into a hotel, order room service, wait in the hotel until the show, take a limo to the show, go to Denny's or IHOP after the show, go to sleep and repeat. It could have been a book about any major band in any genre of music. One could simply replace all of the references to "Axl Rose" with "Neil Diamond" and the content of the book would essentially remain the same. The author seems to be captivated by the fact that he was able to be a passenger in private planes and limos. One of the "exciting" stories the author tells in the book is about taking a tour of Prague in a limo one afternoon and the limo driver hit a police car. The limo driver got out of the car, spoke to the police officer and then returned the author and his companion safely to the hotel. Yes, the author thought that this was an interesting story worthy of being told in a book about touring with Guns n Roses in their prime. Save your money. There are no interesting or entertaining stories about Guns n Roses, or their Use Your Illusion tour, in this book.

There is no great revealing secrets here

this is not all that it claims to be. There is no great revealing secrets here. Not well written at all. I didn't even finish it and that is rare as I will get most Music biographies no matter what. Save your money and go buy Duff McKagan autobiography (the best GNR book to read)

If you are expecting to hear great stories & anecdotes from GNR , don't read this book. The author will start to tell about a story but then stop and say he can't say any more . Then why write a book then ? Read Slash , Duffs , or Steven Adler's book instead.
