Great book for direct entry midwives

I purchased this book to possibly use in the course that I teach for direct-entry midwives in the U.S. I found the material well laid out, and the illustrations excellent. The sound recordings were clear. There was an introduction to each sound presented on the recording, so that someone wanting to get familiar with the sounds by listening repeatedly, would be reviewing pertinent information at the same time. As a result this book is great for someone just beginning to learn about heart sounds.

Although I did not purchase the book for the lung sounds part, that part of the book is also very well laid out, with many excellent diagrams.

Sense and Insanity

I first discovered Richard Daughty, writing as "The Mogambo Guru," in 2006. Mr. Daughty is a reasonable, personable man, a successful businessman, and a very bright economist.
His alter-ego, the Mogambo, is a paranoid nut-case who manages to do everything wrong: at home, at work, and (when not in police custody) in public. He manages to offend and infuriate all those around him with his spot-on analysis of economic and fiscal events delivered as obnoxiously as possible.
Buy the Economica Mogambo for the superb run-on sentences and the head-snapping non sequiturs. Stick around for the brilliant analysis.
Never has "The Dismal Science" been presented in such a humorous fashion.

The Funniest Economist

I really liked this book. I have tried to collect every article by the Mogambo that I could find on line and here were many of them all collected in one volume. The only way that the book couuld have been better would have been if it had been "Economica Mogambo: The Complete Works" (or perhaps "The Complete Mogambo").

A truly inspiring story that makes you think about how little the elderly are truly thought about in today's society. Everyone needs to read this book in order to open their eyes on how the so called "Justice System" treats the people that need their help the most. The author states that one day it could be you that gets a pill shoved down your throat and drained of your life's hard work; in order for the ones that are supposed to protect you to become even more filthy rich than they already are. By reading this book at least you'll be able to spot it coming and find ways to protect yourself; because no one else is.

Highly Recommend!

I brought this book on a vacation, and it made the time on the plane fly by! [No pun intended] The book was both a fascinating tale of water history and a exciting story about a girl's adventures far away and close to home. I really enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the world of water, or just looking for a good read!

Incredible and Life Changing

I just wanted to say that this book is incredible and I feel like there is some ground breaking work happening here. If you are really interested in improving yourself and putting yourself on the path towards becoming the best person you can achieve I feel that this book can unlock the secrets to achieving that life.

Human Kindness

The opening quote in this book is from Seneca, about opportunities for human kindness. Dr. Judy's focus in on healing problems starting from infanthood and early childhood - without casting blame on parents or other caregivers. In fact, part of her therapy is to reconcile family members and heal the rifts and resentments people have carried around for decades. Dr. Judy's Mind Map system is so revolutionary and simple that it is destined to change the direction of therapy.
After all, who wants to waste years with Freudian therapists who provide no guidance, but collect high fees for many years, when you can sit down with Dr. Judy or her team and resolve your problems in weeks?
I have watched the development of this therapy and the book for a decade or more.
If you want to improve your life and your relationships, read the book, it's short, easy to understand - and will remove a weight off your shoulders.

Valuable on Several Levels

This book provides what appears to be a valuable process that can be used to help a variety of people get back on track. I appreciate that Dr. Rosenberg wants her patients to get from point A to point B and is focused on that outcome from the start. She also makes a good point that improving the mental health of the current generation will make a significant positive impact on the future. I won't know for a few years to what extent this book helps to solve my family's specific problems but I feel that I have already gotten more than $2000 of therapist time to get a basic understanding of causes of depression and possible solutions.
